Description: This 35,000 square foot building, constructed in 1976 is
separated into three main sections. A central processing building (with support
facilities, meeting rooms, staff rooms, toilet rooms and laboratory) is flanked
by two wings of cold storage containing four and two cooler rooms respectively. The main processing room contains some processing equipment
and has a concrete floor that is sloped to drain. All coolers are accessible via
outside loading areas. Major systems in the facility include single phase
electrical, three-phase electrical, irrigation control room, three heat pumps,
steam heat to processing work space, power doors at coolers, refrigeration
systems at 6 coolers, digital temperature and humidity control system, and a
Halon fire protection system.
